With this build I'm attempting to paint it the way it would be done in real life: green first, the truck comes out of the factory like that, then brown and finally black. All those raises and indentations on the parts made me choose the stencils, but your way seems to be the way to go on the trailer and tank since there are more flat surfaces 👍🏻

BozzerI'm not sure which way you're going, but I'd give each one a coat of clear too, before moving on. I used gloss, then obviously added the decals later, then gave everything a coat of Matt.
Most definitely keep your clear parts covered, until you're finished everything!
I'll just add, canopy painting sucks, but looks great when finished correctly. However, I'd still rather paint a truck, than another spitfire, hurricane or ME109. I still have a Mustang P-51 to do, but that's gonna be a Redtail

Bozzer SchrijverBummer. Postman claims that he attempted to deliver today at 5pm. The wife and my mum were both at home and nobody came! So I have to wait now, until tomorrow, for my huge haul of parts. This is something that happens here, with our post, now. The postmen are foreigners and they miss out on drops, so they can get in front and get home early. It sucks, and proving it, is hard. Chances are, I was the only delivery in my cul-de-sac, so they skipped me 🙁
Tomorrow is another day though, and I now have another goal to achieve 😉

Sander de VolderPostal workers aren't what they used to be. Let me assure you, the trouble you're having with them isn't just a problem over there. The situation sadly isn't much better on this side of the North sea. I've had packages of which the postal services claimed that they were delivered on one Friday, but they actually turned up a whole week later! Being the only delivery in your street is not a valid excuse for them to just not show up, let alone lie about it.
Thankfully it's just hobby materials this time, but this also happens to businesses that get delays and claims due to one person not doing their job properly. Sure, the postal workers aren't paid very well and have to make long days, but if that's not your thing you shouldn't be out delivering packages?

Bart L SchrijverI can't find any reference online for this, in fact that is why I am on rcmates! it is mint in box, so I am on the fence of build it out and drive it, or sell it for hundreds of dollars to someone who would find that valuable. I paid $50 for it at the RC Swap meet in Lebanon Ohio

Mike PullenI just got an original, very incomplete, basically chassis only one of these but still worth the £50 + £7 shipping i paid i reckon, delivered yesterday.
Came with original box and manual so i will upload the manual when i get time to set up my scanner after recent house move.
Chassis was built up, doesn't look like it was used as very clean, no marks of usage.
Front torsion bars are fitted but suspension doesn't work.
Rear torsion bars missing from chassis, parts of one were in box.
Wheels and tyres present though rears have flat spots, otherwise they all look like new.
Steering servo fitted (unsure of make yet), MacGregor Digimatic RX in a bag sealed off with rubber band and an MSC.
There is another black box in a clear bag sealed off with rubber band with wires coming out that i haven't looked at too closely to see what it is for.
Also had some incomplete parts from sprues A, B, C and complete parts from sprues F and Z which would suggest this was never completed and body parts that were completed lost in time.
This will be a long term resto/rebuild as i want to keep it to original as much as possible so sourcing parts will take a while.
